Get to know the SMUrbans The four of us come from different backgrounds, from different parts of Asia, but we each have something in common - the dedication and commitment not only to complete this project as part of our Technology and World Change course, but also to genuinely study our case and communicate our method of maximizing space efficiency in Singapore. Feel free to get in touch with any of us. Our emails are below our names. Lim Kar-Men (Sungai Petani, Malaysia) karmen.lim.2010@business.smu.edu.sg The one who leads the group. He hates sports and online gaming. He's a lousy drinker and happens to be allergic to Twisties. When not having classes, he goes to the gym and catches up on the latest episodes of Glee. Kar-Men embraces the "Help" button on every piece of new software he gets his hands on, contrary to the typical computer user. What he hopes technology will achieve one day? Flying houses. ![]() Mai Dieu Linh (Hanoi, Vietnam) dlmai.2010@business.smu.edu.sg Linh generally dislikes the food in Singapore. Considering she's from one of the food capitals of Vietnam, that isn't too surprising. She likes that Singapore is a melting pot of the different cultures
around the world, especially since she resides in the SMU hostel for
international first-year students. How technology benefits her? Communication with the people close to her. ![]() |
![]() Zhang Shuxian (Guangdong, China) sx.zhang.2010@economics.smu.edu.sgShe particularly enjoys shopping, reading romance novels and watching TV drama series. One of her favorite TV dramas is Pilgrimage to The West. She plays badminton as a hobby. What she likes most about technology? Its convenience. Dylan Tan Lee Kern (Penang, Malaysia) dylan.tan.2010@business.smu.edu.sg He left home for the first time to pursue his degree in Singapore Management University. When not studying and working to be a Change Leader, he plays the guitar, piano and gets in touch with his family, friends and girlfriend back home. He likes Singapore for its diverse yet peaceful society, the food, entertainment and the safety. He's into British alternative rock music, in addition to Technology and World Change. What is a piece of technology he is hoping to get his hands on? A state-of-the-art guitar effects system of course. |
